MANZAR Cookie and Browser Storage Policy
Last updated: 2026-11-05
Status: Draft, not reviewed by a lawyer.
1. The short version
On our public marketing pages we ask whether you allow Meta's ad measurement. If you click "Allow", the Meta pixel loads and sets two Meta cookies. If you click "No thanks", or click nothing, it never loads. Nothing from Meta runs on a scan page or inside the app. Section 7 explains. There is no Google Analytics.
We keep a small amount of data in your browser. It keeps you signed in, saves your work as you go, remembers a few settings, and lets us count scans without counting the same person twice. Most of it sits in browser storage (local storage and IndexedDB) rather than in classic cookies.
2. Signing in
When you sign in, our sign-in provider keeps a session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.
It lasts until the session ends or you sign out. You cannot use an account without it.
If you use Sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on its own pages, under Google's policy.
3. Saving your work and your settings
The Print Shop Console saves your drafts in your browser's IndexedDB as you work, so a refresh or a lost connection does not lose them. A client filling in a request link gets the same autosave for that link. The other builders save drafts the same way.
The site also remembers a few settings in local storage, such as your language and the layout choices you made.
These stay until you finish, or until you clear the site's data in your browser.
4. Counting scans
When someone opens a scan link, the page creates a random visitor id and session id and keeps them in local storage. They go with the scan events, so the design's owner does not count the same person many times, and a reward code is not given twice to the same phone.
The id is a random value. It holds no name, email or phone number. It lasts until you clear the site's data.
5. Security and payment pages
Our hosting provider may set a cookie to protect the site from bots and abuse. It is not used for advertising.
Dodo Payments runs its own checkout pages and sets its own cookies there, under its own policy.
6. What we do not use
- No advertising cookies or pixels other than Meta's, and those only after you click "Allow" (section 7).
- Nothing from Meta on scan pages, in the app, or in the builders.
- No third-party analytics.
- No sale of any of this data.
We read the browser's user agent on our server to tell a phone from a computer, and our hosting provider tells us the visitor's approximate country. Privacy Policy explains this.
If we add any other tool that tracks you, we will update this page before it goes live, and ask you first where the law needs it.
7. Consent
Meta ad measurement
On our public marketing pages, a small cookie bar says we use cookies to keep you signed in and to measure our ads, links to this page, and offers "Allow" and "No thanks". "Allow" means Meta's ad measurement, described below; the sign-in storage works either way. The bar never appears on scan pages or in the app, and Meta's code never loads there.
We save your answer in your browser's local storage, under the name `mz_ads`, so we do not ask again on every page.
Only after you click "Allow":
- the Meta pixel loads on our public marketing pages;
- Meta sets two cookies on our site, `_fbp` (a random browser id) and `_fbc` (the id of the Meta ad you clicked, if you came from one). Each lasts about 90 days and is renewed when you come back;
- the pixel tells Meta which of those pages you open, and some of what you do on them, such as signing up, starting a checkout or leaving your details with us;
- when you pay, or start a free month, our server sends Meta a hashed copy of your email, a hashed account number, the two cookie ids, and the amount and currency.
We use this to see which of our Meta ads bring visitors and buyers. Meta receives this data under its own terms and policy, which allow it to use the data for its own purposes as well, including choosing the ads it shows you. The privacy policy, section 3.13, says more, including where the data goes.
To change your mind, click "Cookie choices" in the footer of any page. It clears your answer and the bar asks you again. If you withdraw, the pixel stops loading from the next page you open, and we send Meta nothing more about you. Cookies Meta has already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them.
Everything else
We show no consent bar for the other storage on this page. It is either needed for MANZAR to work, or first-party counting with no name and no advertising use.
8. How to control it
"Cookie choices" in the footer changes your answer about Meta's ad measurement at any time.
You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. If you clear ours, you will be signed out, unsaved drafts may be lost, and a new scan from you counts as a new visitor. Blocking storage completely will break sign-in and the builders. Scan pages still open.
Camera permission is separate. You grant it to the site in your browser and can take it back in the site settings at any time. The camera picture is never uploaded. See Privacy Policy section 3.5.
9. Changes and contact
We can update this page. The date at the top changes when we do.
