MANZAR Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-11-05

Status: Draft, not reviewed by a lawyer.

1. Who we are

MANZAR is run by one person, operating from Mauritius. There is no company yet. MANZAR is a trading name. The website is https://manzartech.app. The older address manzar.pages.dev still works, because some printed QR codes point to it.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that person. "You" means the person or the business using MANZAR.

Contact: [email protected]. That is the one address for support, refunds, privacy requests and legal notices. We do not keep a separate postal address.

2. How you accept these terms

You accept these terms when you tick the box at sign-up, or when you pay for anything on MANZAR. If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it. "You" then means the business as well as you.

If you do not accept these terms, do not use MANZAR.

These terms sit together with Privacy Policy, Refunds and Cancellation, Acceptable Use, Cookies and Storage and Beta and Disclaimers. Where two of them deal with the same point, the more specific one wins. Refunds, for example, are governed by Refunds and Cancellation.

These terms limit our responsibility as far as the law allows. No contract can remove liability for fraud or gross negligence, or take away rights that consumer law gives a consumer and does not let a contract remove. Where a term here would go past that line, it applies up to the line, and the rest of the terms still stand.

3. What MANZAR does

MANZAR attaches video and other content to a printed item. When someone points a phone camera at the print, the content plays on top of it in the browser. Each published design has a scan link and a QR code.

Businesses such as cafes and restaurants use MANZAR in the app at /app on a paid plan. Section 5A is written for them.

Print shops use the Print Shop Console at /console to make business cards, flyers and keepsakes for their own clients, paid from prepaid credit or from an invoice we have agreed with the shop in writing. Sections 4 to 8 are written for them.

You can also buy a keepsake, a business card or a flyer for yourself, from your own account. Section 5B is written for that.

Anyone can open a published design by scanning it or opening its link. No account is needed, and it costs nothing. You can also sign in with Google or an email address to keep a record of what you have scanned, in My MANZAR, and to earn MANZAR points and badges. That is free too, and you must be at least 18 to do it. Sections 5C and 5D cover points and referrals.

Wedding invitations are paused for new orders and marked "coming soon". A wedding invitation that is already paid for keeps working for the period it was bought for.

Everything from section 9 onwards applies to everyone.

4. Print shop accounts

You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding contract, and you must be signing up for a real business.

Give true details at sign-up, including your country, and keep them up to date.

We approve each new shop by hand, once, before it can publish. We can refuse or delay approval without giving a reason.

You are responsible for everything done through your account, including what your staff do. Keep your password and your Google account secure. If you think someone else has got in, tell us at once.

Once you are approved and have set a location, your shop's name, logo, city, address, phone, WhatsApp number and map position appear on the public find-a-shop map. Leave out any detail you do not want shown.

5. Credit and prices

Print shops pay by buying prepaid credit. You buy it through Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record. Dodo is the seller on record, takes the payment, issues the receipt and deals with sales tax where it applies. Dodo's own terms also apply to that purchase.

Your first top-up earns a one-time welcome bonus of USD 25 in credit. The bonus is credit and nothing else. It is never paid out as cash and it is never refunded.

Each publish, add-on and AI clip takes its list price from your credit when you confirm it. The console shows the price before you confirm. If your balance is too low, nothing is created and nothing is taken. The current list prices are on manzartech.app/pricing. Some of them are founding prices; section 5B explains what that means.

Credit is a prepayment for MANZAR services. It is not a deposit and it is not money we hold for you. You cannot withdraw it, move it to another shop, or exchange it for cash. Credit is not refunded, except where the law requires it (Refunds and Cancellation).

We can change list prices for future use. A price change never touches something you have already paid for.

If we have agreed in writing to invoice your shop monthly instead, you pay each invoice by its due date. We can pause publishing while an invoice is unpaid.

Prices are in USD. Your bank may add its own fees. We do not receive them and cannot refund them.

5A. Business plans

A business plan (Starter, Growth or Pro) gives your business the app, the studio, prints that play and the stamp card, in the amounts its plan allows. Prices are on manzartech.app/pricing, in SAR with VAT included. Payment goes through Dodo Payments, the merchant of record.

  • Billing. You choose monthly or yearly billing. Both are paid in advance and renew on their own until you cancel. We can change prices for future renewals, with notice before the change reaches you.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel any time from Manage billing. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then stops. There are no refunds and no part refunds for the time left.
  • Studio credits. Your plan includes a monthly allowance of studio credits. It refills once a month on your billing day; a yearly plan refills on the same day each month. Unused allowance is lost at each refill. It does not roll over and has no cash value.
  • Credit packs. You can buy extra AI credit packs while your plan runs. They are one-time, non-refundable purchases, they are not reset by the monthly refill, and they have no cash value.
  • Free month. The first 100 businesses get their first month free on monthly billing. You give a card at checkout. Unless you cancel before the free month ends, the plan then starts and the card is charged. Once the 100 are taken, plans are paid from the first day. Yearly billing has no free month. One free month per business. The free month does not include the monthly studio-credit allowance; that starts with the first paid month.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal is not paid, the plan stops. Your prints keep playing, but you cannot edit them or make new ones until it is paid.
  • Chargebacks. If you dispute a plan or pack payment with your bank, we can suspend the account and stop the plan while the dispute runs, and take back credits bought with that payment.

All sales are final. Refunds and Cancellation sets out the only exceptions, which are the ones the law requires.

5B. Buying for yourself

You can buy a keepsake, a business card or a flyer from your own account. Payment goes through Dodo Payments, the merchant of record. Dodo takes the payment, issues the receipt and deals with sales tax where it applies, and its own buyer terms also apply to the purchase.

  • Founding prices. Our prices today are founding prices. We show the later price beside each one, so you know what is coming. Today a business card is USD 19 for a year (later USD 25), a keepsake is USD 5 once (later USD 9.99), and a flyer page is USD 1 for 30 days (later USD 1.99) or USD 3 for 6 months (later USD 4.99). The price shown at checkout is the one you pay. Founding prices are for the first purchase only. A later price never applies to something you have already paid for.
  • Flyers. A folded flyer is sold whole: every panel of the fold carries a page. A half fold is 4 pages, a tri-fold 6 and a Z-fold 6. A booklet chooses its own page count, at least 4. This applies to print shops too. When you renew a flyer that is already live, it keeps its page count.
  • Forever flyer pages. We no longer sell the Forever tier, to anyone. If you bought Forever pages before 2026-11-04, they keep working on the terms you bought them under, with no end date (section 12 explains what that means).
  • Weddings. New wedding invitations are paused. If you already paid for one, it keeps working for the 90 days you paid for.
  • Editing. You can change a design's content for 24 hours after you pay. After that the content is locked. Renewing a card or a flyer opens a new 24-hour window.
  • Renewals. A business card or a flyer runs out at the end of its period. A renewal is charged at the normal price, never the founding price: USD 25 to renew a card for a year, and USD 1.99 per page for 30 days or USD 4.99 per page for 6 months to renew a flyer.

All sales are final. Refunds and Cancellation sets out the only exceptions, which are the ones the law requires.

5C. MANZAR points and badges

A signed-in account earns MANZAR points. You earn 10 points when you scan a print, once per print per day, and you can also earn points from stamp cards and from referrals (section 5D). You can also earn badges. Badges are a record of what you have done. They have no value of any kind.

  • Points have no cash value. You cannot exchange them for money, and you cannot transfer, sell or combine them between accounts.
  • You can spend points only on items we offer for points, such as some skins and some MANZAR Market Originals. You cannot spend them on keepsakes, cards, flyers, plans or AI credits.
  • Each item is sold either for points or for money, never a mix of the two.
  • If 12 months pass without your account earning any new points, all your points expire at once.
  • If a purchase that earned points is refunded or charged back, we take those points back. Your balance can go below zero. You keep any item you already redeemed, but you cannot redeem anything more until your balance is above zero again.
  • We decide how many points each action earns and what points can buy. We can change this, or end points altogether, for the future. Points you already earned stay yours under the rules that applied when you earned them, until they expire or are spent.
  • If we find points earned by fake scans, made-up accounts or any other trick, we can remove them, and the items bought with them, and close the account.

5D. Referral points

Every signed-in account has a personal invite link. When someone creates a MANZAR account through your link, you earn MANZAR points each time they buy something from their personal account during their first 12 months with us. Purchases made from a business, shop or print-shop space do not earn referral points.

How many points: 10% of what we keep from the sale after payment fees, rounded down to the nearest 10 points.

Points have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred, sold or combined between accounts. You can spend them only on items we offer for points, never on keepsakes, cards, flyers, plans or AI credits.

If 12 months pass without you earning any new points, all your points expire. If a purchase that earned you points is refunded or charged back, we take those points back, and your balance can go below zero until you earn more.

We can change how many points a purchase earns, or end the programme. A change applies only to purchases made after we announce it on this page. Points you already earned stay yours under the rules that applied when you earned them.

When you share your link in a post or video, say clearly that it is your personal invite link and that you earn points from it. Some countries, including Saudi Arabia, have rules about paid promotion. Following them is your responsibility.

6. Publishing and editing

When you publish, the design goes live at its scan link straight away and its price comes off your credit. A business card stays live for 365 days. A flyer stays live for the period of the tier you chose: 30 days for Starter or 183 days for Season. A flyer follows the page rules in section 5B. The Forever tier is no longer sold; a flyer published on Forever before 2026-11-04 keeps no end date. New wedding invitations are paused; one already published stays live for its 90 days. A keepsake has no end date. Section 12 explains what "no end date" means.

You can change a design's content free of charge for 72 hours after each publish. After that the content is locked, and we do not currently offer a paid way to change it. Changing a design's title or its client label is always free, with no time limit.

Check a design before you publish it. Once it is live, anyone with the link can see it.

7. Your clients

You can send a client a request link. The client opens it without an account. The link lasts 7 days and can be submitted once. Through it the client can give their details, upload a photo or a video, try the design on their phone, and leave a wish for the AI animation.

Your clients do not sign up with us and do not accept these terms. You bring them to MANZAR, so you answer for them. That means:

  • You are responsible for everything your client uploads or types through your link, as if you had put it there yourself.
  • Before you publish, you make sure your client owns that content or has the rights to use it, and holds written consent from every person whose face appears in it.
  • You tell your client that MANZAR will host their content and that anyone with the scan link can see it, and you point them to Privacy Policy.
  • You check that what you publish for a client is correct, including names, numbers, links, prices and offers. We do not check it.
  • Your price to your client, what they pay you, and any complaint or refund between you are matters between you and your client.

Send a request link only to the client it is for. Anyone who holds the link can use it until it expires or is submitted.

8. AI animation

The console can turn a photo into a short video clip with AI. We send the photo to our AI video provider, which makes the clip, and we store the clip. Each clip takes its price from your credit when you start it.

AI output varies. The same photo with the same settings can move differently each time, and the result may not be what you or your client pictured. We do not promise any particular result. A delivered clip is final, and we do not refund it because you dislike the motion. If a job fails, times out, or is blocked by the content filter, its credit comes back to you automatically.

Animate a photo only when every person in it has given written consent to being animated, and for a child, a parent or guardian has. Our provider's terms require this, and so do ours.

Watch every clip before you publish it. What you publish is your responsibility.

9. Your content

"Your content" means every photo, video, logo, text, link and file that you, or a client through your request link, put on MANZAR.

You keep ownership of your content. We claim none of it.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, convert, compress and display your content, and to send it to the providers named in Privacy Policy, as far as we need to run MANZAR for you and keep your designs live. The licence ends when the content is deleted. Copies can remain in backups for a short time, and we keep anything the law requires us to keep.

You promise that:

  • you own your content, or hold every right needed to put it on MANZAR, including rights in any music, footage, logo, font or artwork inside it;
  • you hold written consent from every person whose face appears in it, and from a parent or guardian for any child;
  • publishing it breaks no law and no one else's rights.

Keep those written consents. We can ask to see them if a complaint comes in.

We do not review content before it goes live. Acceptable Use sets out what is not allowed.

10. Printing and tracking

Whether a print tracks depends on the photo, the print quality, the paper, the size, the finish and the light where it is scanned. Those are in your hands, not ours. Test a real print on a real phone before you print in bulk or give anything to a client.

We do not pay for reprints. We do not refund a design because a print tracks badly. Beta and Disclaimers explains what helps.

Scan links have no login. Anyone who has the QR code or the link can open the design and pass it on. Do not publish anything you would not want a stranger to see.

When you use Try on your phone, the test link works for 30 minutes, and it is public for that time too.

The scan page of a live print can show a "Make your own" button. It links to MANZAR with the print owner's invite link (section 5D). The button never appears in a recording made with the record button.

People who scan a design can record their screen, or film it with another phone. What they record stays on their own device unless they choose to share it, and we are not responsible for where they post it.

12. Beta, changes and "no end date"

MANZAR is in beta. We can add, change or remove features at any time. We do not promise any level of uptime, and there is no service level agreement. MANZAR runs on other companies' services, and when they fail, MANZAR can fail with them.

A design with no end date stays live for as long as we run MANZAR. It is not a promise that MANZAR, the internet or your print will last forever. Keep your own copy of every original file.

13. No warranty

MANZAR is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

We do not promise that MANZAR will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, that any print will track on any phone, that AI output will look a certain way, or that MANZAR will suit your purpose. We exclude all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

14. Limit of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost business, lost clients, lost data, lost goodwill or the cost of reprinting;
  • our total liability for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. Bonus credit and MANZAR points do not count as amounts you paid.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law does not let a contract limit.

15. Your indemnity

You will cover us against any claim, loss, fine or cost, including reasonable legal fees, that arises from your content, your clients' content, a design you published, your use of MANZAR, or your breach of these terms or of the law.

We will tell you about any such claim, and you will cooperate with us on it. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits anything on our behalf without our written agreement.

If you are a consumer, this section applies only as far as consumer law allows.

16. Suspending and closing accounts

We can remove content, take a design offline, pause publishing, or suspend or close an account when we reasonably believe these terms, Acceptable Use or the law have been broken, when a valid complaint comes in, when a payment is disputed, or when keeping something live would put us at legal risk. Where the harm is serious, we can act without notice.

If we close your account because you broke these terms, unused credit and the rest of a paid plan period are not refunded, unless the law requires it, and your MANZAR points are cancelled.

You can stop using MANZAR at any time. To close your account and delete your content, email [email protected] from the address on your account. Your MANZAR points end when the account closes.

17. If we stop MANZAR

If we close MANZAR or one of its products for good, we will give as much notice as we practically can and tell you how to download your own files. Where the law requires it, we will refund unused credit you paid for (never bonus credit or a plan's monthly allowance) and the unused part of a fixed paid period. MANZAR points end with the service and are never paid out.

18. Changes to these terms

We can update these terms. When we do, we post the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If you have an account, we show the new terms on screen the next time you sign in, and you agree to them before you go on using your account. If you keep using the public pages or scanning prints after we post a new version, you accept it. If you do not accept the new terms, stop using MANZAR and ask us to close your account.

Anything you have already paid for stays under the terms that applied when you paid, unless the law requires otherwise.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. The courts of Mauritius decide any dispute, except where consumer law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Before you go to court, write to us about the problem and give us a fair chance to put it right.

20. General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, that part is cut back to what is enforceable, and the rest stands.

If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.

You cannot transfer your account or these terms without our written agreement. We can transfer them to a company we set up to run MANZAR, or to a new owner, and we will tell account holders if we do.

Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at a provider, a network or power failure, a natural disaster, or government action.

These terms and the documents listed in section 2 are the whole agreement between you and us about MANZAR.
